My Story
Kathryn Louis - One woman and a Dream.
Kathryn Louis is a personal chef and food writer. Originally from Houston, Texas she first came to New Orleans with a college tour and instantly fell in love with the city. Deeply rooted in Creole cuisine, with her family being from Loreauville and St. Martinville, LA; Kathryn knows Southern and Louisiana cuisine. However, her passion for cooking, exploring, and creating does not stop there.
Kathryn decided to pursue her passion of cooking and her love of food when an opportunity presented itself to work in one of Emeril Lagasse’s restaurants. Since working in a professional kitchen, Kathryn has cultivated her culinary skills and gained a greater appreciation for the palates of the customer. Kathryn sought to utilize this experience to immerse herself in learning and perfecting the craft of cooking and hospitality. This experience led to wine classes and working in the in-house bakery and as well as on the line.
Chic Bon Vivant prides itself on creating a unique experience for each one of its clients, suited to their individual preferences. Chic Bon Vivant started as concept and quickly grew into a demand for clients wanting a personal culinary experience.
